Mobi A Wee Infestation of Jerrys: Spot and Smudge - Book Five with Free MOBI EDITION!

I can give you five excellent reasons NOT to read this series: all reasons I've given less stars, or even refusal to review or read a book/series at all. Things that bug me, like the interference so much poor editing drives me wild, as I patiently correct errors, breaking up concentration in an extremely intricate and arcane plot sequence or"scientific" explanation, BUT the fact of the matter is, Udulutch is good, and so are Spot and Smudge. Damn good. Yes, there is a great deal of violence, yes, there is blah, blah blah language, but it is necessary and sufficient to the situations. Where there is a grand scale of evil and good, and they are dealt with ingeniously and ingeniously (as dogs do every day and in every way), there will be a superfluity of irritating issues like violence and language, and maybe even poor editing in the excitement of the moment, but Spot and Smudge's exploits are made real by it all. You can't help but fall in love with a family and dogs who are effective at trying to save the world. These dogs bring out our deepest beliefs that dogs are good and they only veer from their angelic path of saving mankind when man jumps the rails and uses canines for the worst of his own power aggregation trips.This series is long, but well-developed, so is not verbose. Action is tight and flows logically. Science effectively meets fiction where the reader is willing to accept the implausible yet not unbelievable premise that dogs can save the world. I believe our animal companions do that in small ways every day, so why not in the most satisfying way possible: by teaching us unconditioned love and acceptance of their highest moral qualities. Thus, an unconditional five stars for a dog run through situations that are exciting, dangerous and empathetic in the best ways possible. If we faced such evil directly, a corporation like Orthus trying to control us all, I'd like to think we have Spots and Smudges, rhinos and Booxes on our side, just don't short change the capabilities of our feline friends, by using their characteristics and not their souls. They, too, provide the power of love amplified and refined by their presence in our search for the best in ourselves. Spot and Smudge, may you live and protect the Walkers and ourselves forever: your human is certainly doing his part with love, joy and authenticity that compels. Five stars, dammit, against all my petty rules. These books are THAT worthy.
